Arthur "Todd" Downen is the CEO of Sun Country Landscape, bringing extensive expertise in horticulture, arboriculture, and business management to the industry. He holds a B.S. in Horticulture and Business from the University of Arizona, combining a strong scientific foundation with strategic business acumen.

As a Licensed Arizona Landscape Contractor and Certified Arizona Nursery Professional, Arthur has dedicated his career to elevating industry standards through quality craftsmanship, environmental stewardship, and innovative landscape solutions. He is also a Certified Arborist (Member ID: 187232), ensuring expert tree care and sustainable landscape practices.

Arthur maintains active memberships in prestigious industry organizations, including the International Society of Arboriculture, Arizona Landscape Contractors Association, and the Arizona Nurserymen’s Association. Additionally, as a Licensed Applicator and Smartscape Certified professional, he remains committed to best practices in water conservation and sustainable landscape management.

Mark Bais is the Chief Financial Officer of Sun Country Landscape, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the company’s operations, sales, and financial strategy. A University of Arizona graduate with a degree in Business, Mark has been an integral part of Sun Country Landscape since 2004.

Starting his career in operations, sales, and managing the tree/install crew, Mark gained firsthand experience in the field before transitioning into financial leadership. His comprehensive knowledge of the business—from ground-level operations to high-level strategy—allows him to drive financial growth, operational efficiency, and long-term success for the company.

With a passion for strategic planning and a commitment to excellence, Mark continues to play a key role in ensuring Sun Country Landscape’s financial health and future expansion.

Holding esteemed credentials including SLM, FMP, and ACNP, Robin has demonstrated expertise and commitment to professional development. Recognized for a lifelong dedication to excellence, Robin is a proud recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from ALCA, a testament to years of impactful contributions and leadership.

Brandon Berreth is the Tree & Install Division Manager at Sun Country Landscape, bringing over 15 years of expertise in golf course maintenance, turf care, and irrigation. His extensive background in managing high-performance landscapes includes serving as an Groundskeeper for Chicago Cubs, ensuring top-tier field conditions and efficient irrigation management.

Brandon holds a degree in Landscape Design Management, Golf Course Superintendent and Desert Turf School Certification and an Arizona State Pesticide License (PUG 61992), equipping him with the technical knowledge and hands-on experience to oversee tree installations, turf health, and sustainable landscape practices. His commitment to precision, efficiency, and environmental stewardship makes him an invaluable leader in the industry.

 Account Manager | Turf & Irrigation Specialist

Scott Steppig is a seasoned Account Manager with over 20 years of experience in golf course maintenance, fertilization, and irrigation. His deep expertise in turf management and plant health is backed by a Bachelor’s degree in Plant and Soil Sciences/Horticulture from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

With a strong foundation in soil science and horticulture, Scott specializes in optimizing landscape health through precision fertilization, efficient irrigation systems, and sustainable maintenance practices. His hands-on experience in golf course management has equipped him with the skills to ensure high-quality turf and landscape care for a variety of outdoor spaces.

Dedicated to delivering exceptional results, Scott works closely with clients to develop customized landscape solutions that enhance both aesthetics and functionality.

Garrett Harth is a dedicated Account Manager with 14 years of experience leading landscaping and groundskeeping teams. With a strong background in team leadership, he has successfully managed over 18 associates, ensuring high standards of landscape maintenance and efficiency.

Holding a degree in Horticulture, Garrett combines technical expertise with hands-on experience to deliver exceptional landscape solutions. His leadership and commitment to excellence earned him recognition as the 2008 Supervisor of the Year and a 2008 Stars of the Industry Nominee, highlighting his outstanding contributions to the field.
